About Me
Hi, I’m Rachel!
I was born and raised in Miami, FL and am currently a Digital Arts and Sciences major and Chinese minor with a 3.79 GPA at the University of Florida.
I have always had a love of stories, reading and watching everything I could squeeze into my schedule. I’ve participated in writing competitions such as Nanowrimo and Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, completing Nanowrimo’s 50,000 word challenge 3 times, and winning 2 silver keys from Scholastic’s competition. I also participated in theatre performances for many years, the most recent ones in various technical roles. I have done everything from run crew, to working with microphones, to operating light boards, sound boards, spotlights, and learning how to hang lights. I recently collaborated with other artists and choreographers to design projections for a dance show! Through my major, I’ve been learning new ways to contribute to the storytelling process through animation, filming, video editing, and video games. I am currently working with Luma at the Digital Worlds Studio where I work on client projects ranging anywhere from graphic design, to animation, to video editing, filming, and so much more! I also work on various 3D animation and Modeling projects for Precision One Health, a company making a medical app.
